Looking back.....

Raniya

One of my first designs with the Hamsa Hand was the Raniya design. I only made one back then and thank goodness I took pictures in the beginning....time to bring back those creations!

....an Athens find

on my last visit to Greece, I found these incredible eye charms in a little shop tucked away in the center of Athens....it was love at first sight. Unfortunately my greek was about as extensive as a simple "yahsu" and the shop owner's english a memorized "you want to buy?", so I was only able to buy a few. I really wish I would have been able to get the store's information and now I can only hope my memory recalls how to get back to the shop. For now, I think I will make a design that reminds me of the majestic city of Athens. Love to Greece!

My take of a designer necklace......7th Heaven!

recently I was given the challenge to make a design called "7th Heaven"  or "7 Religions" by a well known Mexican designer, granted all I had was a picture to go by but after hours of research, trial and error I can say I came pretty close.....

The Crescent Moon Shell Bracelet....

...Oval Shell discs interweaved with gold curb chain...The ancients, and early man - hunters and gatherers - believed that out of darkness came light, the moon gave rise to the sun and the masculine emerged from the feminine. Ancient Greece, Egypt, and Sumeria held the crescent moon as representative of both the masculine and feminine. A crescent moon is in itself a symbol of transition and transformation as the moon moves through its cycles.

Anchors Away Bracelet....

....turquoise discs interweaved with gold curb chain ....In ancient times the anchor, like the fish, was a symbol with ties to the early Christian church. An anchor can be thought of as holding one steadfast, like an anchor holding a great sailing ship safe in harbour, against winds and currents that might carry it astray.

Sex in The City inspired.....

remember when Carrie was in Paris and Aleksandr gave her a GoRgeous necklace to replace the lost "Carrie" necklace?....well this is my rendition of that beautiful Fred Leighton design......a simple classic! xx

HandMade in Mexico City.....for My Italian daughter Chiarita :)

.....a few months ago I asked my "adopted" daughter Chiara from Italy to send me words that resonated within her.....so I got to working on handmaking individual tags from recycled plastic and designed her very own Good Fortune Elephant Keychain with "Her" words....so she can carry with her at all times there in Europe.....a little something from her "mommy" made with love in Mexico City. ;))
